How billing works
Once you receive your first bill from Just Energy, you’ll see charges listed from your supplier and from your utility. In Illinois, that could be ComEd, Nicor, People’s Gas, or one of many others. If you’re unsure whether or not Just Energy works with your utility just call us and ask.
Your supplier charges change depending on your energy usage each month. Those charges are based on the per therm and/or per kWh rate agreed upon in your contract.
Your utility charges will account for power and gas line maintenance and the physical delivery of energy to your home.
Want to simplify payment even more? Opt into paperless billing to reduce waste and clutter in your mailbox and save time paying your bill each month. Once you sign up, use the My Just Energy app, sign up for email reminders, or log into our secure online portal to check your billing and usage throughout the month. Want to budget for the upcoming year? Check your past bills to see what your energy costs were during previous years.
Just Energy offers fixed-rate electricity and natural gas plans. Fixed-rate plans allow you to lock-in one low rate at the start of your contract and keep that rate for its duration—even if market costs for natural gas or electricity increase.^
Looking to support clean energy? Our JustGreen add-on makes it easy to embrace sustainable living. Add JustGreen Gas to any Just Energy natural gas plan. Part of your bill will be used to purchase carbon offsets from carbon pollution reduction projects to replace the energy you use each month.
